ABOUT ME

HELLO

My name is Amy  and I am the proud owner of Easi Bakes

My career has not always been in the kitchen. In fact, for 14 years, I worked hard to inspire and encourage children to thrive academically, socially and emotionally in my role as a Primary School Teacher. It is a career that I thoroughly enjoyed and never dreamt that I would leave, but the arrival of my little boy in 2020 gave me a different outlook on life and a whole new set of priorities. Leaving the teaching profession in 2022, was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make, but looking back now, it was definitely the right choice for me and my family. So how did Easi Bakes begin?

MORE ABOUT ME

Everyone has to start somewhere

Growing up, I was blessed to have two great bakers in my family. My Mum, who always made sure there was a dessert after dinner, and my Grandma, who was a Secondary School Cookery teacher. So it's no surprise that I enjoy baking.

I began creating floral cupcakes when a friend asked me to create a bouquet for her Mums birthday. I watched a lot of YouTube videos and thought... I can do that. I was so proud of my achievements at the time, but looking back now, it was actually quite terrible. Nevertheless, my creative side fell madly in love with buttercream flowers and I have been striving to improve my skills ever since. I now design and create beautiful edible cakes from my lovely home in a small village just outside of Lutterworth.
